The mayor is requesting a grant for a feasibility study for the transfer and modernization of the Resistance Museum in Aups
Suez's communications manager for water and the environment, Cristel Delgiovanne, was invited to the municipal council meeting to provide a summary of the past year. A new public service delegation (DSP) contract began on February 21, 2024 , for a period of eight years. The main technical specifications of this new contract are as follows: the integration of a €90,000 annual pipeline renewal fund, the deployment of remote meter reading on 100% of the community's meters, and an improvement in the hydraulic performance of the drinking water network.
The commune of Aups is supplied by the Syndicat mixte des eaux du Verdon , whose mission is to deliver quality drinking water to the borders of each of the member communes. The water comes from the Espiguières boreholes located in the commune, from the Fontaine L'Évêque spring, located 70 metres below the surface in the Sainte-Croix lake and from the Montmeyan Plage production station which pumps water from two boreholes. The council issued a favourable opinion on the 2024 financial year report on the price and quality of the public drinking water service.
Several municipal technical vehicles were also offered for sale. First, a 2004 Renault Kangoo Mascott was sold to Patrick Martin for €1,601, a second 2003 Renault Mascott was sold to Christophe Margueret for €2,500, and a third 2010 Mascott was sold to Claude Bruna for €8,500.
Concerning subsidies , a redefinition of the name of certain associations has been agreed: the independent bookstore association Caractères Libres receives 1,500 euros and the Hugo Marchand association (Les Étoiles au Château) receives 5,000 euros.
The mayor explained to the city council that the weekly market place fees have not been revised for several years. "Given the increase in market maintenance and management costs, as well as the rising cost of water and electricity, it appears necessary to amend the fees. The price list for place fees should be adapted to better meet the different profiles of traders who frequent the market." It is proposed to create three distinct categories: passengers, subscribers, and seasonal workers from July 1, 2025: subscriber holders: €2 per linear meter and daily rate: €2.50 per linear meter.
Under the title of "the mission of the 80th anniversary of the landings and the Victory of France" the mayor proposes a request for a grant for a study "of architectural and museographic feasibility and positioning in order to determine the optimal location for the transfer and modernization of the Resistance Museum ", currently compressed in a room at the back of the Segal Museum. The grant request is for an amount of 39,800 euros excluding VAT , with funding of 50% from the State, 15% from the Region and the Department and 20% self-financing.
Regarding miscellaneous questions , Bernard Dutrey recalled the success of Quentin Pardo, a member of the municipal staff, in the supervisory agent competition and asked Antoine Faure: "How can we promote him by appointing him to a supervisory position? " The mayor replied that "the administration has not yet received official information about this competition, but it is clear that this young man, who is very committed to all his duties and very deserving, will be offered a higher position. I will personally see to it."
