Thionville: Ephemeral gardens are blooming again and expanding into the city center

Pop-up gardens have sprung up in the heart of Thionville. The initiative, sown six years ago, is expanding. Flowers and shrubs now occupy four spots, covering nearly 250 square meters in total. Place Au-Bois, Rue Brûlée, and Rue de Paris in front of the Belfry have bloomed again.
The new development is being planted in Place Anne-Grommerch. Fifty square meters of greenery provide a breath of fresh air for the terraces. The idea is to break up the heat islands identified by a study in a mineralized city center....
