Bruno Retailleau announced on Tuesday, April 29, before the National Assembly that he was initiating an adversarial procedure with a view to a possible dissolution of the Young Guard . This is a hard blow for the organization created in January 2018 in Lyon, in the hope of "giving new life" to the anti-fascist movement in the Rhône city, where the radical far right is very active . The collective has since developed local branches: in Strasbourg in 2019, in Paris in 2020, and then in Lille and Montpellier in 2021.
