"Playing the games you want with the people you want, wherever you want" is Xbox's ambition for the coming years. The announcement video for the partnership with AMD further clarifies the manufacturer's overall idea: to offer games without exclusivity and available on as many platforms as possible.
To this end, Microsoft specifies that its next gaming consoles are already in development, partnering with Windows and AMD to offer the best graphics and availability on multiple platforms, while ensuring that the PC is the ideal platform for gaming.
Deliver Xbox Creations AnywhereMicrosoft's gaming strategy isn't new. Xbox has been investing more in services for everyone rather than exclusives for several years now. The brand already has two portable consoles planned through a partnership with Asus ROG.
This announcement, however, specifies that Xbox also wants to end the exclusive store system. The company is therefore expected to offer several alternatives in the coming years. Will we be able to enjoy our Steam titles on Xbox consoles soon? Only time will tell.
