The Périgueux Artistic Swimming Club was in Villenave-d'Ornon this weekend. The NAP, represented by three age categories, reached eight regional podiums.

This weekend in Villenave-d'Ornon, the Périgueux artistic swimming club swept the board. Represented by three age categories: the youngest and the youngest, the future, and adults 25 and over, the Périgourdins reached the podium eight times. A remarkable achievement. In the youngest (6-9 year olds), for their first year of synchro, Elio and the girls shone at the Olympic-sized pool in the Gironde town. Out of six choreographies presented, the very young NAP athletes proudly stood on five regional podiums. Elina and Elio are Nouvelle-Aquitaine champions in the girls' solo and boys' solo divisions. In the duet division, Elina and Lily are first and regional champions, closely followed by their teammates Aïa and Jeanne, who took third place. The youngest group of twelve swimmers is the regional vice-champion.

Third place for adults

The future category (9-12 years) presented a beautiful ballet about the Caribbean carnival, signing one of their best collective performances. Despite a beautiful choreography, individual technical work must continue to advance to the interregional competitions. Daphné's solo finished 3rd, and Lucie and Hélène's Shrek duet placed 5th, with a very remarkable choreography.

Finally, the young adult team (aged 25 to 50), created last September, won over the public and the judges. Supported by the younger members of the team, especially their children, they lit up the pool and took third place. All the swimmers will be in Bertran-de-Born on May 24 and 25 for the annual "Sunshine" Gala.
