AS Monaco Basket suspends American star Mike James after the player's blunder

We thought the star had calmed down... Mike James has clearly fallen back into his old ways.

AS Monaco Basket has announced the "temporary and precautionary" suspension of its American point guard. He will not take part in the French Championship semi-final, which begins Tuesday evening in Lyon against ASVEL.

Mike James is suspended "due to a breach of the club's internal regulations , requiring further investigations and then the gathering of explanations from the person concerned," ASM stated. A slip-up by the player off the court would be the cause of the sanction.

End of season?

Behind the scenes, there are rumors that Mike James is unlikely to wear the Monaco jersey again this season.

A hard blow for the Roca Team, which is defending its French championship title in these play-offs.
