AS Monaco recruits a young Ivorian U20 international

Oumar Konaté signed his first professional contract with AS Monaco .

Originally from Abidjan and Ivory Coast, where he plays for the under-20s, the 18-year-old striker was trained at Sol FC Abobo, an Ivorian D1 club, where he played a few matches with the first team.

On the Rock, the one who is capable of evolving on the wings will launch his adventure with Djimi Traoré's Elite group.

Konaté had caught the eye of Monaco scouts during the Maurice-Revello Tournament in 2024. He had a trial with the Red and Whites last February and took the opportunity to score in a friendly match against Bordeaux (2-0).

In addition to Konaté, Monaco announced the signing of trainee contracts for attacking midfielders from Saint-Priest and Cork (Ireland), Jassim Djelloul and David Dunne , as well as Servette (Switzerland) goalkeeper Axel Decrenisse .
