Athletics in Dordogne: The Last Man Standing attracts for its second edition

Athletics in Dordogne: The Last Man Standing attracts for its second edition

There will be "41 duos and 127 solos" setting off at 11:50 a.m. for several laps of a 7.5-kilometer loop (290 meters of elevation gain), to be completed in less than an hour to be able to set off again. The goal is to complete as many laps as possible in 24 hours maximum. "It's starting to get popular, word of mouth is working well, it's catching on." The competitors come from 36 departments.

The circuit will have some new features, "it is more wooded, with very, very few roads," continues the organizer.

This could provide some relief for competitors, given the expected heat. In addition to the woods, the organizers have planned additional water points and misters. And in the cool evening, a rock band will provide the rhythm.
