The BBD has been hit by a series of setbacks this preseason. While Cyrille Eliezer-Vanerot, injured in the shoulder, has not yet been able to play, the club has already had to replace Hugo Robineau, who will be out for around eight weeks with a calf injury, with Théo Magrit. Now, it needs to find another medical assistant, as the Elite championship resumes on September 27.

Boulazac announced this Tuesday afternoon the "serious injury" of Malik Fitts, one of its latest recruits. The American power forward has a serious injury "to the knee," according to the BBD press release, which did not specify the circumstances of this injury. "He was quickly taken care of at the Francheville Private Hospital and was successfully operated on in the afternoon by Doctor Younsi," the club said, adding that the season of its player, to whom it sends "its warm thoughts in this difficult time in the life of an athlete," is "seriously compromised."

While wishing him a speedy recovery, "the club is now working to find a sporting solution to compensate for his absence." This means the future arrival of a new player, who could be of any nationality. This will at least broaden the search.

Meanwhile, Boulazac will probably not be competing with ten professional players in the Limoges tournament this weekend at the Palais des Sports in Beaublanc. They will face CSP on Friday evening at 8:30 p.m., then Le Portel or Murcia (Spain) on Sunday at 2:30 p.m. or 5 p.m.
