Central defender Juma Bah officially loaned to OGC Nice

The 19-year-old defender with his impressive size (1.95m) comes to strengthen a sector weakened by the long convalescence of Youssouf Ndayishimiye and Mohamed Abdelmonem.
Bought by Manchester City from Real Valladolid in the Spanish second division last winter, Juma Bah was loaned directly to RC Lens for the last four months of last season (10 appearances). While he was said to be close to Olympique Lyonnais, the native of Freetown (the capital) has chosen to continue his progression at Gym, where he arrives on a loan with no option to buy.
"We have been following his progress collectively for some time and found him to be very effective during his time at Lens. Juma is a young player with great potential and, importantly, we believe he can quickly adapt to the coach's (Franck Haise) ideas ," explained sporting director Florian Maurice.
Juma Bah confides "his pride in joining this club and this project." "There is quality and experience in all the lines. The coach has very precise, offensive ideas, which all the players adhere to, including the defenders. That was a factor in my choice."
Bah is Gym's second summer recruit after young midfielder Gabin Bernardeau.
