Good turnout and good level in Dordogne on the La Périgordine cyclosportive
Nearly a thousand people were present this weekend at the Cern stadium in Lardin-Saint-Lazare for La Périgordine. On Saturday, three mountain bike trails of 30, 50, and 80 km were offered, starting at 9 a.m. In the afternoon, there was a 65-km hike.
On Sunday, in addition to two 7.7 km and 10 km hikes, the Périgordine cyclosportive will take place with five courses. The Mammouth (180 km, 58 classified) was dominated by cyclists Maël and Gabriel Peyencet in 4h45'55. The Périgordine (150 km, 137 classified) saw Cédric Verger win in 3h56'31, eight seconds ahead of Anthony Bordas. The Panoramique (120 km, 212 classified) saw Nicolas Collet win in 3h02, while the Route de la noix (90 km, 222 classified) placed Tony Da Costa in the lead (2h17'11). Finally, three riders crossed the finish line in a handkerchief on the Pitchoune (70 km, 61 classified): Teddy Leclère (2h03'15), François Frauziol (2h03'16) and Nuno Pinheiro (2h03'19). Unfortunately, note the serious fall on a bend, near Génis, of a 69-year-old participant, who was taken to hospital in Limoges.
