LIVE. 2025 World Swimming Championships: Marchand on top of the world for the second time, the expected relay

The final day of the World Championships should be Leon Marchand's day. The Toulouse native is aiming for two more titles in Singapore this Sunday, first in the 400m individual medley and then in the 4 x 100m medley relay.

As Ahmed Joaoudi receives his gold medal on the podium, only two races remain on the program for the world championships: the men's and women's 4 x 100m medley.

Summer McIntosh wins the 400m medley in 4:25:78, more than 6 seconds ahead of Japan's Narita and Australia's Forrester, tied in 4:33:26. This is the Canadian's fourth individual title.

At the halfway point, Summer McIntosh is 4.34 seconds ahead of the American Grimes; the Canadian is on the verge of breaking her world record.

Ahmed Jouaoudi, double world champion (800m, 1500m) gave his impressions to the microphone of France TV : "Personally, I wanted the world record. In the end, I'm a little disappointed. But it feels good, double world champion in less than 7 days. Philippe knows very well the work we've done. This is only the beginning, I'm only 20 years old."

With the 4 x 100m medley relay final less than half an hour away, Léon Marchand quickly left the arena to recover

Second title for Léon Marchand in these world championships. The Toulouse native dominated the 400m medley with a lead of almost 4 seconds over Matsushita and the Russian Bordin. What a race from the Frenchman who came close to his world record with a very good time of 4:04.73

Here we go for this 400m medley final with Léon Marchand in lane number 1

It's the big moment for Léon Marchand, who is competing in the 400m medley final. His main rivals are the Japanese Matsushita and Nishikawa.

The Tunisian won the 1500m after a strong finish in 14'34"11. He finished first ahead of Schwarz and Finke. Damien Joly finished eighth and last in the race.

With 400 meters to go, it's a three-way battle between Jaouadi (TUN), Schwarz (All) and Finke (USA)

To see the four-time Olympic champion in the pool, we'll have to wait a few days because Léon Marchand has decided to skip two of the four individual races. The 200m butterfly and 200m breaststroke, which were originally scheduled for Singapore, will be out. "It's a choice we made because we're in a post-Olympic year and he's never had the opportunity to compete in the 200m medley without a race before or after the same day. He wanted to try out this isolated 200m medley and see what he was capable of," his coach explained. His program will therefore be as follows: 200m medley, 4x200m freestyle relay (subject to participation), 400m medley, and 4x100m medley (subject to participation).

The World Swimming Championships are taking place in Asia, near Singapore. There will therefore be a very large time difference with France. To watch the "morning" heats, you'll have to get up very early, around 4 a.m. However, for the finals, you can watch the events between 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. approximately in France (-6 hours in Singapore).
