Moving of La Baleine exhibitions, Yacht show, congresses... We know more about the post-UNOC period at the port of Nice

La Baleine's immersive exhibitions to see all summer long

Renamed "La Baleine" during UNOC , the historic Palais des Expositions in Nice, in the Acropolis district, has been transformed into a vast public space dedicated to popularizing the ocean. In total, nearly 123,000 visitors flocked there. Particularly noteworthy: its immersive exhibitions allowing you to teleport underwater, into the abyss or contemplate islands suspended, as if in weightlessness.

Did you miss the experience? From July 12th until the start of the 2025 school year, it will be possible to (re)experience it in the UNOC General Assembly Hall and its neighboring lounges, located on Quai Infernet at Port Lympia . On the site of the new Palais des Congrès, the municipality has decided to extend the life of La Baleine's flagship exhibitions and activities.

From July 12 to September 14, 2025, Monday to Sunday, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. (8 p.m. on Saturday), Quai Infernet. Prices: from 5 to 10 euros.

A host of upcoming events at the Palais des congrès du Port

Built for Unoc by the City, the temporary conference center at the Lympia port , Quai Infernet, seems set to last... While the mayor, Christian Estrosi, has made no secret of wanting to use it during the 2030 Winter Olympics, won by the Southern Alps , "we have fifteen reservations and nearly seventy pre-reservations for this site," he said.

And the elected official explained: "The Grand Pavois of La Rochelle will hold its yachting show there, medical conferences are scheduled, in dentistry, in cardiology... Great fashion designers are making inquiries, there could be fashion shows . The shows are also an outlet, with an interesting capacity of 2,400 seats. I have important contacts with the producer Gilbert Coullier. With Bertrand Rossi [director of the Opéra Nice Côte d'Azur] , we are working with acousticians so that the hall can host ballets , classical productions . Major sporting events will be announced for the start of the school year..."
