After narrowly missing out on the top 10 in the regular season, the two clubs face off in the first round of the play-in, in a double-or-nothing match: the loser's season will be over, while the winner will play for a playoff spot starting Friday, against Chalon-sur-Saône or Dijon.
The most recent confrontation between the two clubs, at the beginning of February, ended in favor of Nancy (83-74), led by an excellent Antony Labanca (27 points). In view of this precedent, Sylvain Lautié's men will start as slight favorites, especially since they have the advantage of hosting on their home court... And Saint-Quentin has lost in six of its last seven meetings.
