One year after the Paris Olympics, Paralympic athlete Aurélie Aubert wins gold again at the European Championships

Frenchwoman Aurélie Aubert, gold medalist at the Paralympic boccia Games last summer in Paris, won the title of European champion in the sport on Sunday in Zagreb.

The 28-year-old Frenchwoman beat Israeli Orit Kelner.

The native of Dreux, who extinguished the Olympic flame at the Stade de France in early September, has become one of the figures of the Paris Paralympic Games , helping to popularize boccia, a bowls sport.
