Paris Eiffel Jumping: behind the scenes of the transformation of the Champ-de-Mars, ready to welcome 240 horses

The world's best riders and horses will be jumping this weekend at the foot of the Eiffel Tower. Since its inception eleven years ago, the Paris Eiffel Jumping has offered a unique setting on the Champ-de-Mars. But this isn't without some adjustments.

In the already crushing heat of this late Thursday morning, there are still a few screws to tighten here and there. The kitchens, where 500 meals are to be prepared per service, are stocked with all kinds of food. The stands, erected in a few days, are ready to accommodate 3,500 people at each session. It's full; there's not a single seat left. Meanwhile, 240 horses are taking turns undergoing veterinary checkups. They're ready for service.

Welcome to the Champ-de-Mars, right at the foot of the Eiffel Tower, where one of the most prestigious show jumping competitions on the planet, the Paris Eiffel Jumping , is taking place until Sunday. The world's best riders are in attendance.
