Serie A: Moise Kean (Fiorentina) released from hospital after head injury

More fear than harm for Italian striker Moise Kean, victim of a head collision during Hellas Verona-Fiorentina on Sunday.

Italian striker Moise Kean, who was injured in the head during Fiorentina's 1-0 defeat to Verona on Sunday, has left hospital with his health not in danger, the Tuscan club said on Monday. "Fiorentina confirms that Moise Kean was released from hospital in Verona during the night and has returned to Florence," the currently sixth-placed Serie A team explained in a statement. "The medical tests and diagnoses have all given negative results," the Italian club added.

Having spent time with Paris Saint-Germain during the 2020-21 season, Moise Kean has been playing for Fiorentina since last summer, who signed him from Juventus for €13 million. He has scored 19 goals in all competitions for the Italian club this season. Earlier this month, the centre-forward was the target of racist insults on social media by supporters after Fiorentina's defeat at Inter Milan (2-1).
