The first edition of the Masters e-sport festival takes place this weekend in Saint-Raphaël

The discipline remains relatively confidential. According to France e-sport, e-sport refers to all practices that allow players to test their skills through electronic media, primarily video games.
On Saturday and Sunday (from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.), the Masters e-sport festival will combine e-sport tournaments, open to the public, and attractions.
The whole thing is absolutely perfect for a great family weekend with video games.
Yann Camilleri, festival organizer and founder of the PuR eSport organization (which has been organizing gaming events since 2019), announces that "the goal is to make it a bit like a kind of amusement park where people will come to participate in the tournament or watch it. But during the wait between tournaments, they can have fun with more than twenty activities. Like laser tag, axe throwing, battle sword, or even a giant "Just dance" game, curling, an interactive wall, virtual reality, a driving simulator, ... And more. The goal was also to make it a family event."
This festival is, in a way, in line with the Draguignan Gaming Festival , organized for five years now by PuR eSport, but in a completely new format. According to Yann Camilleri, "the objective of the Masters e-sport festivals would be to make it a sort of Festival Tour, which would cross between 15 and 20 different cities. Saint-Raphaël is the beginning of this Tour."
Tickets are available for pre-sale on the Masters e-sport festival website (along with all necessary additional information), but families are free to pay directly on site on the day.
Call of Duty, Fortnite, FIFA...As for the tournaments (Call of Duty, FIFA, Fortnite), they are open to the general public, and with a considerable reward at stake, there is still time to register, also on the festival website, since there are still a few places left.
Beyond the tournaments, the numerous challenges set up during the events will allow the most talented to win rewards!
"Rates are 13 euros per day for adults and 8 euros for children over twelve," explains Yann Camilleri. "It's also possible to buy tickets for the entire weekend. Once inside, there's nothing to pay, except for food, which is directly at the food trucks on site."
Finally, for those who are more involved, the festival is still looking for volunteers.
Their food will be provided and the entertainment will be free!
