Charente-Maritime: Crazannes Castle in Medieval Times

Until Sunday, August 3, Puss in Boots Castle lives to the rhythm of the Middle Ages. Activities, a market, and tours are on the program.
Hear ye, hear ye, until this Sunday evening, August 3, the Château de Crazannes is going back in time for its Medieval Festival, the 11th of its name. From 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., numerous costumed events are scheduled. But also knight fights, equestrian shows, music, and a medieval market for shopping.
As every year, medieval reenactment troupes are invited to the castle grounds to showcase life in the past. The public will be able to discover the making of coats with Jacques la Maille, and the blacksmithing with Pontois David Jourdain. Troops will be present, such as the Mesnie de l'Ozine (Soubise) or the Loups de Lemnia, specialists in the Viking world. The troupe of vaulter Lilian Lachaise will come to give equestrian shows.
Daily rates: 15 euros for adults; 10 euros for children 5 to 13; free for children under 5. The price includes a tour of the castle and access to the Medieval Festival activities. chateaucrazannes.com/programme
