London motorcyclist dead, second driver injured in west London crash

London police are investigating the cause of a fatal collision Wednesday evening that left a motorcyclist dead and another driver injured.

It happened around 6:50 p.m. at the intersection of Hyde Park Road and Fitzwilliam Boulevard and involved a motorcycle and sedan, police said Thursday.

Few details are known, but police say the male motorcyclist was rushed to hospital with life-threatening injuries and later died, while the female driver of the sedan suffered minor injuries.

The identity and age of the deceased was not provided.

Anyone in the area at the time of the collision who may have witnessed the collision, or captured it on a dash cam or surveillance camera, is asked to come forward to the London police Road Safety Section.
