2025 Munster Hurling Championship: Fixtures, Results, Permutations

With two massive round 4 Munster Senior Hurling Championship matches down for decision this Sunday it's time to have a look at how things stand.
Cork and Limerick were joint top of the table with three points from two games going to the weekend.
Pat Ryan's Cork began with a draw away to Clare in the opening round. They then produced a dominant performance at home to a fourteen-man Tipperary to earn their first win of the campaign.
Limerick, chasing a record seven Munster titles in a row got off the mark with a draw against Tipperary. They then travelled to Walsh Park where they held Waterford at arms length for large portions of the game to win by six points.
Tipperary beat Waterford this weekend in Thurles and the winners gave themselves a greater chance of claiming silverware.
Clare have a watching brief this weekend and they might be glad of it. They haven't got going and look extremely unlikely to make it out of Munster this year barring some serious luck with results in the final two rounds.
2025 Munster Senior Hurling championship permutationsThings have become clearer after Tipperary beat Waterford in round four to keep their Munster Championship bid alive.
The Premier County has advanced to the All-Ireland Championship as a result, while Waterford have been pushed to the brink of elimination.
Waterford must beat Cork next week and hope that Limerick claim a win against Cork to keep them within reach.
If Limerick beat Cork, Waterford will need to do the same but if Cork beat Limerick, Waterford will need Clare to do them a favour next week while still doing their own job.
A draw in Limerick effectively eliminates Waterford from Munster, as they won't be able to catch Limerick although they can get through on head-to-head if they beat Cork next week.
Champions Clare are still alive as a result of Tipp's win. The Banner will hope that Cork beat Limerick to make their final round meeting with the Munster champions a straight shootout.
