Happy birthday to Lino Guanciale, the most beloved of the small screen

Lino Guanciale , busy filming l' Invisibile, a new Rai fiction that tells the story of the mafia boss, Matteo Messina Denaro , turns 46 today, May 21st. Born in Avezzano, in the province of L'Aquila in 1979, he moved to Rome to attend university. During his adolescence he played with the Under 16 and 19 national rugby team, but his passion was acting. And so he decided to enroll in the National Academy of Dramatic Arts where he graduated in 2003.
His first debut was on stage, directed by very high-level personalities, such as Luca Ronconi and Gigi Proietti , even though Claudio Longhi is the most frequent name among the actor's theatrical directors.
In 2009 he made his film debut with "Io, Don Giovanni" by the Spanish Carlos Saura. At the same time, in the same year, he worked and was part of the cast of "The Front Line" : a historical film based on the book " Short Fuse" by Sergio Segio, where he plays the protagonist.
Also in 2009 Lino Guanciale met Michele Placido on the stage of "Fontamara " and in 2010 he acted in "Vallanzasca - Gli angeli del male".

The actor from Abruzzo also debuts on television with a small role in the series "The Secret of Water" (2011), and in the same year he is at the cinema with "Il gioiellino" . The following year, in 2012, he plays in the Rai fiction, "Una grande famiglia".
In 2013 the actor joined the cast of the second season of "Che Dio ci aiuti" and soon became one of the most beloved actors of the famous Rai Uno series. Meanwhile, at the cinema he starred in "My Tomorrow" ; he also stars alongside actors Laura Chiatti and Alessandro Preziosi in the Fellini comedy "The Face of Another" .
Despite television and cinema, Lino does not neglect the theatre at the same time, a passion from which he never separates himself throughout his career. Thus, in Moscow, he plays one of the main roles in what is awarded as Best show of the year in 2012 , the Brechtian play "The Resistible Rise of Arturo UI" (2012) by the German playwright Bertolt Brecht, directed by Longhi.
In 2019 he played Commissioner Ricciardi on TV, a character from Maurizio De Giovanni's books.
