Kiev, 9 dead in Russian attack on minibus in Ukraine

Kiev, 9 dead in Russian attack on minibus in Ukraine

A Russian attack on a minibus carrying civilians in northern Ukraine has left nine dead and four wounded, regional authorities said Saturday. "An enemy drone struck a bus near Bilopillia, killing nine people and wounding four," the military administration of the border region of Sumy said on Telegram, posting photos of the struck minibus.

The attack occurred at 6:17 a.m. (5:17 a.m. GMT) as the vehicle was leaving the city of Bilopillia on its way to Sumy, the head of the regional military administration, Oleg Grigorov, said. "This is not just another shelling, it is a cynical war crime. The Russian military has once again struck a civilian target, violating all norms of international law and humanity," an official from the National Police Department said, RBC-Ukraine reported.
