More gunfire on crowd waiting for aid, dozens dead. IDF, Hamas finance officer killed

From starvation as "collective punishment" to the "possibly deliberate killing of journalists": there are six possible human rights violations by Israel in Gaza and two in the West Bank, which led the Office of the European Union Special Representative for Human Rights to conclude that "there are indications that Israel has violated its obligations under Article 2 of the Association Agreement with the EU", the clause that links bilateral relations to respect for human rights and democratic principles. This is what emerges from the report commissioned by the EU High Representative for Foreign Policy, Kaja Kallas.
In detail, Israel is accused of: blocking and denying humanitarian aid; attacks with numerous civilian casualties; systematic bombings against hospitals; large-scale forced displacement; killings of journalists and lack of accountability. In addition to these, there are two categories of violations in the West Bank: consolidation and expansion of settlements and arbitrary detentions and inhuman treatment. The report - which arrived at the request of seventeen EU countries and which will be examined at the meeting of foreign ministers on Monday - is based exclusively on independent sources such as the International Court of Justice, the OHCHR, the International Criminal Court and several UN agencies and "does not express political judgments but provides elements for an assessment in the context of the ongoing review by the EU".
