MotoGP at Mugello: the 2025 Italian Grand Prix lights up with duels and surprises

The countdown has already begun for one of the most anticipated events of the MotoGP, scheduled for June 20 to 22: one of the most beautiful and popular tracks, the scene of incredible battles over the years that promises to be a spectacle again this year, the Brembo Italian Grand Prix at the Mugello circuit. From the duel between Marc Marquez and Pecco Bagnaia, both on the Official Ducati, to third wheelers like Alex, Marc's brother, or Jorge Martin who will want to have his say with his Aprilia and with a Franco Morbidelli ready to make the whole VR46 team rejoice. But also a lot of Moto3 where Guido Pini will try to make the home fans cheer, Moto 2 and then the unmissable Sprint Race on Saturday , which has become an event not to be missed.
The program
It starts on Friday 20 June at 10:45 with the first free practice session of the premier class, preceded by FP1, Moto3 and Moto2. In the afternoon the top-class riders will return to the track at 15:00 for FP2. Also in this case, first there will be the second free practice session of the electric motorcycles, the Red Bull MotoGp Rookies Cup, the smaller displacement class and the medium class.
The MotoGP riders will be back on track on Saturday 21st at 10:10am for the half-hour free practice session that will precede the qualifying sessions that will establish the pole position and the starting grid for the Sprint Race that will start at 3pm. Saturday will also see FP3, Moto3 and Moto2 qualifying sessions, as well as the two races of the Red Bull Rookies Cup.
The final act of the weekend, the ninth round of the 2025 MotoGP World Championship, will take place on Sunday 22 June, with the traditional 23-lap race. The warm-up is at 9:40, preceded by race 2, at 8:45, of the Red Bull Rookies Cup, while the start of the race of the premier class of the Italian Grand Prix is set for 14:00. This is the time at which the top class riders will take to the starting grid of the Italian track to compete in the ninth race of the season. The Moto3 race will start at 11:00 and the Moto2 race will start at 12:15.
The race and more
The protagonists, however, will not only be those two wheels, but also all those who will color the hills around the circuit. The 100 hectares of park with areas equipped for camping and BBQ will in fact be the perfect place for lots of music and lots of barbecues.
The Mameli Anthem and a great show will accompany the riders on the starting grid. But the celebration of the Italian Grand Prix will not stop with the checkered flag. As per tradition, the invasion of the track will return with the fans who will be able to reach the foot of the podium to greet the fastest riders in the world and dance to the rhythm of the DJ on the MotoGP podium.
In short, an unmissable event where we hope that once again the Italian colors will shine.
How to get there
