Twelve presidential candidates in the Polish elections on Sunday 18 May 2025, a three-way race . The protagonists are Rafal Trzaskowski , 53, mayor of the capital Warsaw since 2018; Karol Tadeusz Nawrocki , 42, historian, supported by the national-populists of Law and Justice, Jaroslaw Kaczysnki's party; and the "troublemaker" Slawomir Mentzen , 38, theoretical physicist and economist, a phenomenon deployed by the far-right coalition Konfederacja which has forced the others to follow suit on the most sensitive issues.
