Porsche Italia turns 40: here are the 911 Carrera 4 Gts and the Taycan 4S signed by Ferragamo

The common thread is represented by the Dream Blue shade that characterizes the bodywork and a good part of the interiors of the 911 Carrera 4 Gts and Taycan 4S created in collaboration with Ferragamo to celebrate the first forty years of Porsche Italia . This is not the only reference to the history of the two brands (in this case the reference is, above all, to the famous fashion house ), but it certainly represents a symbolic element capable of capturing the eye of the future lucky owners of these two models proposed, for the occasion, in a limited edition reserved for the Peninsula. The objective, at least from a commercial point of view, has been achieved, given that the 52 examples made ( 40 units for what has been defined as the supercar of the Zuffenhausen house most desired on the Italian market from 1985 to today, in a 541 HP version, and 12 for the 544 HP electric version) all sold out in a few days.
"Our desire was to create something truly unique, which embodies the spirit that has guided us for forty years, namely the Porsche style combined with Italian culture and aesthetic taste." Pietro Innocenti has been the CEO of Porsche Italy since 1 September 2012. And if, on the one hand, in the last decade he has had the opportunity to witness first-hand the numerous changes that are characterising the automotive world, on the other hand in this period of time the German company has increased its ties with the excellences of the Bel Paese. "We had also proposed something similar for the thirtieth anniversary celebrations," explained Innocenti . "But nowadays there is more possibility of customizing the cars. We chose Ferragamo as a partner for the project, a brand to which we are linked by values such as artisanal excellence, timeless elegance and obsessive attention to detail. The collaboration with Ferragamo and the Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur team in Zuffenhausen has allowed us to realize this vision with authenticity and foresight, values that will continue to inspire and guide us in the future."
Forty , like the years of activity of Porsche Italia , for the number of units of the 911 Carrera 4 Gts , and twelve (for the Taycan 4S ), one for each of the models offered on the national market in this period of time. From an aesthetic point of view, the starting point for the fifty-two units of this special series is represented by the exclusive Blusogno shade (which has a preponderant role both on the bodywork and on the rims) obtained using samples of leather and fabric used for the famous Hug bag and for the clothing produced by the Florentine fashion house. A customization guaranteed to all customers of the brand by the Paint to Sample Plus program with, in this case, the stylistic choice of applying thin and precise white lines, inspired by the stylistic elements of Ferragamo, on the front hood and on the rear spoiler. On the central pillars of the 911 Carrera 4 GTS and Taycan 4S there is a commemorative plaque on which the number 40 , the years 1985 and 2025 and the words Porsche and Italia stand out in bas-relief. Breaking the mold, in a contrast of colors, is the Ferragamo red proposed, for the first time, for the Zuffenhausen-based company shield placed on the hubcap. Finally, at the rear, the model code (911 and Taycan) is hand-painted in white with Blusogno edges while, upon request, the slats of the rear hood grille of the 911 can be painted in green, white and red to recall the colors of the Italian flag.
He wouldn't have collaborated with any brand that came forward, but when he received the call from Porsche Italy, it took him only a few seconds to provide an affirmative response. "But I didn't realize what a broader challenge it was, how difficult it was to characterize it," said Leonardo Ferragamo , president of Salvatore Ferragamo , on the occasion of the presentation of the two cars. The spark with Porsche was ignited mainly during a Driving Experience organized on the Franciacorta circuit . Then, in addition to keeping one in the garage, the approval for this partnership arrived. "When Porsche asked Ferragamo to contribute to this anniversary, our reaction was to change as little as possible, because Porsche is already perfect , choosing therefore to focus on sophisticated details - added the number one of the fashion house - The main objective of this collaboration was to create an authentic and meaningful synergy between two iconic brands that share a passion for design, respect for tradition and the courage to innovate to tell an emotional story linked to dreams. My father Salvatore has been defined as the Shoemaker of Dreams and Porsche carries forward the concept of Driven by Dreams ".
Inside the passenger compartment, the dominant shade is also used for both the leather and the yarns, with Blusogno boasting various references on the front seats (with a very modern tubular profile) and rear seats, on the GT sports steering wheel and on the 911 gear lever (on this model the dashboard and the central console are finished with paldao inserts) which are covered in Blusogno leather. Contrasting elements include the 12 o'clock marking on the GT sports steering wheel in Pebble Grey and, albeit as an optional feature, the red lining of the glove compartment and the front boot. The reference to Italy is emphasised by a Sport Chrono clock which, in the upper part of the dashboard, boasts an exclusive dial with the colours of the Italian flag (the rings are green, white and red, while the second hand is red), while the luminous white Ferragamo logo is integrated into the black brushed aluminium door sills. The Taycan is distinguished by the large wooden surfaces of the door panels, with a color division (the upper part is blue, the lower part is a rather characteristic black), while the 40 Years Porsche Italy logo is placed on a special plate on the center console. On the 911, the latter further embellishes the dashboard on the passenger side. The special edition also includes a personalized car cover in the same color with white piping, a colored Porsche crest on the front and white Ferragamo writing on the sides.
A collaboration born on the axis between Zuffenhausen , with the Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur team that opened the doors of its premises to the Ferragamo staff, and Florence , to celebrate the first forty years of activity of the Italian branch of the famous German brand.
