World Baking Day, a special day for pastry lovers in Rome

An entire day dedicated to pastry making , from traditional to contemporary. World Baking Day will be held on Saturday 17 May in Rome, at Antonelli Bistrot&events (exceptional open with access from via Marcantonio Colonna 64 in Rome Prati): until now aimed exclusively at competition judges and professionals, for the first time it will also open the doors to the public of an unrepeatable experience of sweet and savoury tastings, suitable for all ages and every palate.
The sweet table, created by Ciak si cucina and Deacomunicazione Eventi, will be open from 10 am to 6 pm, from breakfast to snack time , full of delicacies made in rotation by guest pastry chefs. In one place you can taste the proposals of multiple pastry chefs, award-winning leavening masters and maitre chocolatiers: special croissants , eclairs , cakes , cheesecakes , Paris-Brest , Dubai flan , summer panettoni , French toast and crumble cookies , to be enjoyed while sipping the specialty coffees and latte art proposals (also vegetable) of Torrefazione Bertini.
But there won't be room just for desserts : in the time slot between 12:30 and 15, in fact, a brunch is also planned, with filled puff pastry baskets, savory biscuits with amatriciana, carbonara, ajo ojo and chili pepper flavors, ketogenic buns and healthy dishes. The very popular strawberry Dubai will not be missing. The day's guest list is also well-stocked, including Sabotino, Francesca Minnella of Madeleine, Flavia Tarascio of Pasticceria Mono, Pasticceria D'Antoni dal 1974, Velt Cioccolateria, Pasticceria Cancelliere, Kozman alta pasticceria, Ciro Chiummo, Andrea Cingottini for Pasticceria Velo and Il Casale dell'Arcipretura for the Romana Dop hazelnut spreads.
During the event, the public will be able to listen to the in-depth analysis dedicated to food photography applied to social media with Bella Imbornone (cucinaconbella) and ask for advice on nutrition and leavened products from Dr. Valeria Padrone, a biologist specialized in sports nutrition. Tickets for tastings will be available at the box office at a cost of 5 euros and include a sweet or savory tasting of your choice and a coffee product.
