Benedetto Croce Award: Here are the winners. Three days of meetings in Pescasseroli.
The 20th edition of the Benedetto Croce National Culture Award will start on Thursday 24th July and will end on Saturday 26th July with the award ceremony of the three winners. Winners: Simona Dolce ( The Real Name of Rosamund Fischer , Mondadori) for fiction; Marzio Breda and Stefano Caretti ( The Enemy of Mussolini , Solferino) for non-fiction; Francesca Mannocchi ( On My Earth , DeAgostini) for journalistic literature. The Special Prize from the President of the Croce Prize, Dacia Maraini, is awarded to Piero Genovesi ( Alien Species , Laterza). Three days of meetings are planned to reveal previously unseen aspects of Benedetto Croce's life and work, to promote reading, and to reflect on the environmental and geopolitical destiny of planet Earth.
The event concludes on July 26th at 9 pm at the Ettore Scola cinema with the Abruzzo premiere of Pupi Avati's film "A Christmas at Casa Croce," produced by Minerva Pictures in collaboration with Cinecittà Luce and Rai Documentari.
