Giuli appoints first-tier directors

The directors of the top-tier museums selected by the Minister of Culture, Alessandro Giuli, based on the proposals of the Evaluation Commission received by the deadline of July 15th are: the Galleria dell'Accademia in Florence and the Bargello Museums: Andreina Contessa; the National Archaeological Museum of Naples: Francesco Sirano; the National Roman Museum: Federica Rinaldi; the Royal Museums of Turin: Paola D'Agostino; and the Colosseum Archaeological Park: Simone Quilici. This was announced in a press release from the Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Activities and Tourism.

Andreina Contessa , art historian and scholar, museum curator, expert in museology, digital cataloging, multimedia, since May 2020 has directed the Regional Museums Directorate of Friuli Venezia Giulia after having led the Historical Museum and the Park of Miramare Castle.
Francesco Sirano , archaeologist, directed the Archaeological Park of Herculaneum for two terms.
Federica Rinaldi arrives as an archaeologist from the Colosseum Archaeological Park and Paola D'Agostin or from the Bargello National Museum.
Simone Quilic , architect and landscape designer, will instead be assigned to the Colosseum Archaeological Park. He was director of the Appian Way Archaeological Park; previously, he worked on the restoration of cultural and historical-religious routes and itineraries for the Lazio Region.
