Suspicious behavior, at the sight of a Carabinieri patrol, led the Carabinieri onto his trail, and they arrested him despite the resistance of his companions. In Saronno, members of the Mobile Radio unit placed handcuffs on a 20-year-old man of Tunisian origin , who was on the run after disappearing from his home in Lucca, where he was supposed to be serving a period of house arrest.

The operation began in the evening after the young man was spotted by a military patrol who reported his suspicious behavior. The man was again located near the Saronno train station, where he was consuming alcohol with other non-EU citizens. When the Carabinieri approached to verify his identity, the Tunisian man's companions attacked the officers in an attempt to prevent the search.

At that point, backup was called, and the fugitive was arrested despite trying to fight off the Carabinieri by kicking and punching them. The man was then taken to the Carabinieri offices: further investigation revealed that he had an arrest warrant issued by the Bologna court where he had committed a robbery.

After being released from Busto Arsizio, the young man was ordered to serve the remainder of his sentence (2 years and 8 months) under house arrest in Lucca , but on his way to the Tuscan city, he disappeared. He was spotted and arrested in Saronno, where he is now back in Busto Arsizio prison , also facing charges of resisting arrest.
