Zocca is still 'Vascoland', as fans make a pilgrimage to Vasco Rossi's home.

Bologna, July 21, 2025 – Like every summer , or rather, like almost every Sunday, the small town of Zocca fills with tourists and fans hoping to meet Vasco Rossi . After his tours and concerts, the rocker retreats to his hometown, where hundreds of people gather and wait for him on the street for a photo, an autograph, and a chat.

It's now well known that one of the singer's defining traits, and perhaps also one of his most appreciated, is his desire to be physically present for his fans, who come from all over Italy.
Yesterday morning, however, despite attracting many people seeking not only autographs but also fresh air, proved fruitless . In fact, shortly after ten in the morning, it was announced that Vasco would not be leaving his house.

Probably due to a slight indisposition caused by tiredness and the high temperatures, Blasco decided to postpone his usual Sunday motorcycle ride and perhaps postpone it until today.
“We've been fans for a long time. We came full of enthusiasm with a group of friends to share this wonderful experience. Today it seems he's decided not to come: obviously we hoped so, but we understand, we're understanding, and above all, we're human. He's a person too, with his own rhythms and needs. It's right to accept these moments too,” said Sabrina, standing next to her friends who had come from Milan. Among the longtime fans is Anna Noviello, from Monza, who never misses the appointment and shares the spirit of this pilgrimage: “We've been coming here every year, for ten years, we always see him ; he comes out and rides away on his motorbike. He always has the desire and time for everyone. It's not a given; I don't know any other artist who does the same. Of course, we're disappointed today, but in the end, we're always the ones who have to thank him. We're here in his home and we've always had the opportunity and the honor of seeing him.”

For fans, Zocca isn't just Vasco: "Even though we come from far away and don't always get to stay long, we still try to enjoy this beautiful town. We often stop in the center or at a trattoria for lunch. Zocca truly is his hometown , with phrases, paintings, and quotes written on the walls... you find Vasco everywhere," Anna added. Anna and her friends came by motorbike, to enjoy the relaxing day trip, but many come by car or on organized buses.
There were also those who came for the first time, like Nicolò Mazzarolo, from Veneto, who spoke of his first experience: "I've been following Vasco all my life, and I managed to come today after two years of trying to organize it... I'm sorry, but I understand it too. I'll take the opportunity to visit Zocca, eat something traditional, and enjoy the day in the countryside. Ultimately, Vasco is also this: waiting, hoping, and returning ."
The town contributes to creating a beautiful setting for those who come to visit: "We come from Modena, we're not too far away, but these days always represent an opportunity to experience something different. Vasco was able to transport three generations to the notes of his songs. He's not just a singer, he's a symbol. We'll be waiting to see him on future occasions," explained Matteo Caruso , accompanied by a friend.
Zocca is therefore the ideal setting to welcome fans, amidst history, flavors, and tradition. Enrico Righetti, owner of Ferramenta Righetti 1911, spoke about the wonderful atmosphere: " July is truly Vasco's month . It's all about him, and it's inevitable that tourism will increase. This is the main street in the center, and the bars fill up from the morning."
One example is Gianluca Leonelli's small inn, Il Rustico, which was already fully booked: "We welcome people from all over Italy," he explains, "and we know they come here for Vasco, but we take advantage of this opportunity to showcase our fresh, quality products and offer a service that will make them want to return, not just for the music, but also for the hospitality."
