Fifty billion for companies: agreement between Confindustria Brescia and Intesa Sanpaolo

Milan, 8 July 2025 – Territorial agreement between Confindustria Brescia and Intesa Sanpaolo to relaunch the development of the production system. Signed by the president of Confindustria Brescia, Paolo Streparava , and the regional director of Lombardy South of the territorial banking division of Intesa Sanpaolo, Paola Lecci. The aim is to relaunch the development of the production system and seize the opportunities of Transition 5.0 and AI, thus integrating the resources already allocated by the bank for the achievement of the objectives of the Pnrr .

The territorial agreement is part of the national agreement between Confindustria and Intesa Sanpaolo for the growth of Italian companies announced last January by the president of Confindustria, Emanuele Orsini, and by Carlo Messina, managing director and CEO of Intesa Sanpaolo.

“The renewed agreement with Confindustria – commented Lecci – which makes 50 billion euros available to Lombard companies out of a total of 200 billion at the national level, allows us to strengthen support for the Brescia production fabric characterized by the presence of dynamic SMEs that represent an essential component of the country's supply chains and industrial districts”.

The agreement

The agreement includes ad hoc measures to promote support for new production facilities, the expansion and modernization of existing ones and investments in the energy sector. The new features concern, for example, investments in new advanced production models with high potential with particular attention to aerospace , robotics , Artificial Intelligence and life sciences, but also the acceleration of the sustainable transition in line with the Transition Plan 5.0.

Furthermore, we want to encourage the birth and development of startups and SMEs with high technological content and support the plan for sustainable living, to facilitate mobility and the attraction of talents in Italian industry.

"Making 50 billion euros available to businesses in the Lombardy region - adds Streparava - means offering them the opportunity to plan their development with courage and method. The entrepreneurial fabric of Brescia has already demonstrated, in the past, that it knows how to react to crises and reinvent itself. Today we have the resources and the impetus to make a new leap in quality, despite the now well-known geopolitical difficulties that characterize this period".
