Piazza Affari hits its highest level since 2007: Leonardo rises, Stellantis falls

European stock markets are always moving in the green and gains are increasing mid-morning compared to the opening.
Milan gains 0.5% and reaches over 42 thousand points, the highest since 2007 and just 2 thousand points from the all-time record.
The best performing stock today is Leonardo, up 2.6% after its upgrade from the rating agency FITC. Among the worst performers are Stellantis (-1.6%) and energy and energy infrastructure companies such as Eni, Tenaris, and Saipem.
The latest report from the International Energy Agency has revised its oil supply estimates upward for 2025 and 2026, following the agreement between OPEC+ countries to increase production. This has led to crude oil prices falling by 0.6-0.8%.
The euro, however, rose against the dollar on the foreign exchange market, with the single currency near its three-week high of 1.1728.
