Bonelli (Avs): "FdI and Lega are attacking the EU, wanting to bring pesticide-laden American foods to Italy."

Angelo Bonelli (Avs) accuses FdI and the League of wanting to weaken EU health and environmental regulations to facilitate the import of American foods rich in pesticides and hormones into Italy, thus jeopardizing citizens' food safety.
The Green and Left Alliance MP launched a harsh attack on the Brothers of Italy and the League, accusing them of seeking to dismantle European regulations protecting public health and the environment. According to Bonelli, the two parties are attacking the European Union instead of opposing tariffs imposed by the United States, aiming to facilitate the arrival in Italy of American foods containing pesticides and hormones.
"These people aren't patriots, they're traitors to their country," says Bonelli, who points the finger at those who would weaken EU regulations simply to encourage imports from the US, thus jeopardizing citizens' health and the quality of food on our tables. The issue of food safety and the defense of European standards remains at the center of political debate, as pressure on governments intensifies due to international trade tensions.
