A musical journey between Fado, Tango and Songwriters' Song, where emotions, stories and sounds with a popular and Mediterranean soul meet, enriched by the deep and sensitive interpretation of the two artists

On Friday 27 June at 6 pm , the evocative setting of San Vittore Vecchio sul Prato in Casalzuigno will host a musical event of great intensity and refinement as part of the MusiCuvia 2025 festival: the concert of the Karminantes duo , made up of Mariachiara Ferraro (voice and violin) and Enrico Salvato (piano).

A musical journey through Fado, Tango and Canzone d'autore, in which emotions, stories and sounds from the popular and Mediterranean soul meet, enriched by the deep and sensitive interpretation of the two artists. The repertoire, rich and engaging, embraces different genres and cultures: from Portuguese Fado to French song of the 60s, passing through Neapolitan song and the rhythms of South America.

Mariachiara Ferraro: voice, violin and inner research
Fado Mariachiara Vacor

A violin graduate, Mariachiara Ferraro has cultivated an intense passion for the voice since she was young. For several years she sang with the Vocal Octet OttavaNota of Varese, a group that has won awards in numerous national and international competitions for choral music. With this ensemble she has performed in a wide range of concerts, helping to raise awareness of the value of Italian ensemble singing abroad.

In addition to instrumental teaching and musical propaedeutics, Ferraro has studied in depth courses related to conscious listening and vocal enhancement, obtaining certification for teaching the Wilfart-Pneumafonia Method , which explores the connection between voice, body and breathing. She was Serge Wilfart's assistant and translator until his death, and today she leads workshops in various Italian cities. She teaches at the Accademia Papillons in Sant'Ambrogio in Varese, of which she is a founding member, and continues her study of opera singing with soprano Rita Antoniazzi.

His versatility has led him to write musicals for schools and to develop original artistic and educational projects. He currently teaches at the Liceo Musicale “R. Malipiero” in Varese.
