Arezzo, 15 May 2025 – The role of Europe for peace: public meeting with MEP Tarquinio in Arezzo

The Democratic Party of Arezzo is organizing an important moment of discussion and study open to all citizens: Friday 16 May at 6 pm, at the Hotel Minerva in Arezzo, a public meeting will be held with Marco Tarquinio, European parliamentarian and former director of "Avvenire", who has always been an authoritative voice on the issues of peace and international justice.

The meeting will be an opportunity to reflect on the role of the European Union in the main international crisis scenarios, starting from the conflict between Russia and Ukraine and the dramatic escalation of the Israeli-Palestinian crisis, two open wounds that deeply question consciences and call into question the responsibility of politics and democratic institutions.

Peace is never a given, but a choice to be built every day, also through discussion and civic commitment. For this reason, the PD of Arezzo invites citizens to participate in large numbers: a precious opportunity to listen, understand, and question one of the most urgent challenges of our time.
