Giovanni Manildo, center-left candidate for the Veneto regional elections

The coalition of center-left political and civic forces—PD, AVS, M5S, Veneto che Voglio, the Network of Progressive Civics, +Europa, Volt Europa, PSI, and the Liberal Socialist Movement—"announces with satisfaction the candidacy of Giovanni Manildo for president of the Veneto Region." This was announced in a statement. "Former mayor of Treviso, a lawyer, a well-established figure recognized for his professional profile and his social and environmental awareness, Manildo represents the spirit with which the center-left has sought to build its project: broad, open, and pluralistic."
"Giovanni Manildo," the coalition declared, "is a capable and innovative administrator, an authoritative and credible figure, capable of speaking to the entire Veneto electorate. With him, we want to propose a new project for Veneto: a true alternative to the right, after thirty years of uninterrupted government. Manildo's choice is consistent with the method shared by the coalition from the beginning: through open, participatory discussion, built on ideas."
The statement continues: "A project for the Veneto region over the next five years that the region has been waiting too long for. The priorities we are called upon to address today," the statement concludes, "are the revitalization of public healthcare, youth policies, the housing crisis, employment, the environment, culture, competitiveness, and the region's development. With Giovanni Manildo, we are nominating a person who has been able to unite, listen, and innovate, and who will do so even more by speaking to our local community, without barriers. A person who will be able to embody the desire for redemption of a Veneto region that needs a future."
