Match of the Heart 2025: Politicians vs. Singers. La Russa is the coach, while Renzi and Lollobrigida are on the field.

National singers vs. National politicians. A rematch. The "Partita del Cuore" (Party of the Heart) returns again this year, a solidarity event that will be held tomorrow evening, Tuesday, July 15, at the Gran Sasso-Acconcia stadium in L'Aquila. Senate President Ignazio La Russa will once again be coaching the national politicians' team. Wearing their kit and boots, the team will include Speaker of the Chamber of Deputies Lorenzo Fontana , Minister of Sport Andrea Abodi , Vice President of the Chamber of Deputies Anna Ascani , Democratic Senator Francesco Boccia , Forza Italia Senator Maurizio Gasparri , Minister of Economy Giancarlo Giorgetti , and Minister of Agriculture Francesco Lollobrigida . Also in attendance will be IV leader Matteo Renzi and Senate Vice President Licia Ronzulli . Five Star Movement leader Giuseppe Conte and Democratic Party Secretary Elly Schlein .

Last year the challenge ended in a 7-7 draw: a bipartisan lineup for the politicians always led by La Russa and an embrace on the pitch between Schlein and Renzi .

Football and charity show: on the pitch for Bambino Gesù

The L'Aquila stadium is already sold out. The evening promises to be a celebration of solidarity, with the aim of supporting the "Welcoming Project," a joint effort between the Bambino Gesù Foundation and Caritas Italy, to provide food, shelter, and material support to the families of hospitalized children from across Italy and abroad. The charity number 45585 is active until July 22, 2025.

The event will air live on Rai 1 from 9:30 PM. After last year's success, Eleonora Daniele will host the traditional match, this year in its 34th year, between the national singers team and the national politicians team in what promises to be a true rematch. She will also share the healing stories of young patients with the wider public.

On and off the pitch, many singers and artists will get the whole stadium singing and dancing, including Gabry Ponte, Sal Da Vinci, Orietta Berti and Fabio Rovazzi, Riccardo Fogli, Arisa, Gaetano Curreri , and Stadio, along with a tribute to Mogol 's career by maestro Diego Basso, accompanied by a choir of 100 young people and the Italian national anthem performed by the Guardia di Finanza band conducted by Maestro Colonel Leonardo Laserra Ingrosso .
