New appointments in the Lombardy Region: Alan Rizzi is moving to the presidency of Aler, while Angelo Sala will replace him at Federcasa.

Milan – Alan Rizzi appears to have finally won. According to rumors, he is expected to be the new president of Aler Milano. The appointment could be made official as early as the first week of August.
Close to the federal secretary of the League, Matteo Salvini, current director of Federcasa Lombardia and former regional councilor for Housing, Rizzi seems to have won the internal derby within the League with Angelo Sala , former president of Aler Varese and of Aler Milano itself, instead supported by the League members closer to the Lombard League than to Salvini's national League.
Not only that: in recent weeks, over 30 tenant committees have emailed Regional President Attilio Fontana, asking for Sala to be brought back to Aler Milano. A request that apparently doesn't seem likely to come to fruition .
Sala, however, is expected to win the post of director of Federcasa Lombardia : yes, the very post currently held by Rizzi. A sort of handover between the two contenders that wouldn't leave anyone unhappy. We'll see. The process, as anticipated, should be short. The public call for applications for the presidency of Aler Milano closed on Friday, July 25th. It's possible the nomination will be made to the Regional Council during tomorrow's session or the following one, on August 4th, the last one scheduled before the summer break.
Tomorrow 's election is expected to see the approval of several health care appointments. If all goes as rumored, the League will be forced to overcome its stomach ache and come to terms with the appointment of an external figure to one of its strongholds, Varese. This person is Monica Calamai, who until now has worked in Tuscany, where she was general director not only of the Careggi Hospital in Florence but also of the regional health department; then in Emilia (in Ferrara, to be precise); and in Calabria, where she was chosen as special commissioner of the Crotone Provincial Health Authority.
A professional who, rightly or wrongly, has a reputation as an "iron lady" of healthcare, and whom the regional councilor for welfare, Guido Bertolaso, now wants as general director of the ATS Varese. As previously reported, Silvano Casazza , currently general director of the IRCCS San Gerardo dei Tintori in Monza, is instead destined to become general director of ATS Milano Metropolitana , the last of which was Walter Bergamaschi, who was called to Rome for a ministerial post.
Barring any surprises, Casazza's replacement at IRCCS San Gerardo will be Michele Brait, current general manager of ATS Brianza (the Monza and Lecco health authority). Palmieri's name is also being put forward for this final position. These latest changes are all within Forza Italia. The final note concerns the official announcement of Giovanni Bozzetti as the new president of Fondazione Fiera Milano, replacing Enrico Pazzali, who is under investigation as part of the Milan prosecutor's investigation into alleged illegal dossier-making activities conducted through the company Equalize.
