There are approximately 8 million voters who can go to vote in Lombardy for the referendums in the polling stations open on Sunday morning at 7. In Milan there are 1,044,439 voters, of whom over 11,000 are at the polls for the first time, who will be able to vote in 1,260 polling stations set up in 162 schools.

In Cernusco, in the first round the center-left, led by Paola Colombo , had 37.25% of the votes, with a coalition composed of the PD, which went over 26%, by Avs (over 6%) and by a civic list. The M5S, which supported Valentina Tedesco, was absent. Practically tied, with a difference of just under 200 votes, was the center-right candidate Claudio Mereghetti, who took 36.14% of the preferences. In the run-off, the votes of the historic left-wing civic list 'Vivere Cernusco' by Danilo Redaelli, which in the first round went over 22%, could be decisive.

In Saronno, the most populous town among those in Lombardy called to renew the mayor in these administrative elections, the center-right closed the first round in the lead , with Rienzo Azzi who took more than 43% of the votes, led by his party, Forza Italia. The center-left of Ilaria Pagani was behind, stuck at 27.56%. Here too, the votes of the two civic lists of Novella Ciceroni (14.83%) and of the former mayor Augusto Airoldi (14.32%) could prove decisive.
