Referendum in Aosta Valley: Arcigay votes by surname for the first time.

"August 10, 2025 is a date for the history books of the Italian LGBTQIA+ movement. It took place, in fact, the first vote with the queues at the polling stations divided by initial of the surname instead of gender, in history Republican. It happened in the Aosta Valley on the occasion of the confirmatory referendum for the regional electoral law of the Aosta Valley where the first application was made DL 72/25". This is written in a note by Arcigay Valle d'Aosta Queer adding: "At all polling stations in the Alpine region, provided the registers divided alphabetically, from A to L e from M to Z, instead of binary genders M and F. This is a great victory that promotes inclusion and ensures the freedom to exercise one's right to vote for all, without force trans* people without corrected documents to do forced coming out and finding oneself in situations of profound discomfort, which previously led them not to go to vote."
