Arezzo, 18 June 2025 – The Italian Liberal Party of Arezzo joins the Referendum for the reorganization of Tuscan healthcare Perticucci and Ghezzi: “We need healthcare that is closer to citizens” Following the provincial congress that confirmed the reconfirmation of Roberto Perticucci as secretary and the election of Mario Ghezzi as president of the Arezzo section of the Italian Liberal Party, the PLI announces its convinced support for the regional consultative referendum promoted pursuant to art. 76 of the Statute of the Tuscany Region. The question aims to overcome the model of “large areas”, introduced by regional law no. 84/2015, to restore an organization of Local Health Authorities (AUSL) on a provincial basis, closer to citizens and territories. «As doctors and liberals – declare Perticucci and Ghezzi – we believe it is essential to support this proposal. The current structure has produced decision-making distance, rigidity and poor services. Returning healthcare management to local communities means putting people and their concrete needs back at the center." The PLI section of Arezzo will be actively engaged in collecting signatures and spreading the question, promoting a vision of efficient, transparent and accessible public healthcare. "A truly free healthcare system - they conclude - is one that knows how to listen and care, without bureaucratic barriers or centralisms. It is time to rebuild a human dimension of care."
