A free swimming lesson for all ages at the Palazzetto del Nuoto

Arezzo, August 25, 2025 – A free swimming lesson for all ages is available at the Arezzo Swimming Center. The swimming school season is scheduled to begin on Monday, September 15, but, as usual, it will be preceded by a series of promotional lessons for children, teens, and adults, offering a first introduction to the sport, developing swimming skills, and building confidence in the water.

The initiative, scheduled from Monday, September 1st to Thursday, September 4th and from Monday, September 8th to Thursday, September 11th, is promoted by Sport Service in collaboration with Chimera Nuoto and will consist of eight afternoon sessions hosted in pools of varying heights depending on the age and skill level of the participants.

The program will begin with a course for children aged four to six, featuring a playful approach involving games and increasingly complex circuits where they learn first to float and then to swim. The program for children aged seven to seventeen and adults aged eighteen to one hundred will offer advanced instruction, ranging from floating to the technical learning of strokes.

The eight lessons will allow you to learn to go from one point to another in the pool, to move with an increasingly prolonged immersion, to immerse yourself in the bottom with all parts of your body, to pass through the water with the least effort possible and to take in air to cover long distances without stopping.

Teaching will be conducted through the application of the principles of "action pedagogy," which focuses the lesson on practice and the tasks to be performed. Chimera Nuoto coaches will accompany students on a progressive journey through the various stages of learning the specialty.
