Felix Baumgartner's final flight, his partner posts video of the takeoff: "He never landed."

In an emotional post on social media , Mihaela Radulescu, Felix Baumgartner's partner, shared the video of the last flight of the base jumper and skydiver who entered the history of extreme sports for his leap from the stratosphere in 2012, when he jumped from an altitude of 38,969 meters.

Baumgartner crashed on July 17 while flying a powered paraglider in Porto Sant'Elpidio, near Fermo, where he was on holiday. I was filming him as he took off, not knowing it would be the last flight of his extraordinary life. For over 12 years, I was there for every takeoff and landing, from skydiving to paragliding, from helicopter flights to paramotoring, to aerobatics shows. And when I couldn't be there for some of the helicopter flights, we had the code WLC—"the Wifey Landing Call." I never missed one. Except... this one. Felix Baumgartner is coming home now, up there, where he was happier than ever. Thank you all for your support and for keeping his extraordinary legacy alive. This man was truly special, in so many ways, and I will make sure to continue telling his story. But now... I have to deal with the shock, the grief, the dawns where I will only make one coffee, not two..."
