BARI - The prevention measures section of the Court of Bari wanted to verify today whether, in the case involving Foggia Calcio, the bureaucratic and administrative formalities necessary for the team's registration for the next Serie C championship had been arranged. For this reason, today, the owner Nicola Canonico (assisted by the lawyer Michele Laforgia) appeared in Court together with the judicial administrator, the professor and lawyer Vincenzo Chionna. The prosecutor Roberto Rossi and the prosecutor of the DDA of Bari Bruna Manganelli were also present at the hearing. The parties confirmed that the bureaucratic and administrative formalities finalized for the registration had been done, the Court asked for information on what financial aspects were necessary to complete the registration for the championship, the deadline for which expires on June 6. These are the last financial formalities that, if done within the deadline, will allow the team to still play in Serie C. Foggia saved itself in the playouts by winning the home game against Messina 1-0 on May 17. Foggia Calcio has been under judicial administration under the anti-mafia law since May 19, due to threats received over the years by managers and players from people close to organized crime.
