Futsal. Roberto Ventrone is no longer the sports director of Fenix

Fenix ​​Ischia announces that, starting from the 2025/2026 sports season, Roberto Ventrone will no longer hold the role of Sports Director. The decision, taken and officially communicated by Ventrone himself in the last few hours, was welcomed with respect and full agreement by the company.

Despite the change in role, Ventrone will continue to collaborate with Fenix ​​through a consultancy agreement that will see him involved in managing the summer and winter market strategies. A choice that allows the bond built over the years to be kept alive, while respecting the new personal and professional needs of the manager.

The decision was born from Roberto's desire to return to living the camp on a daily basis, following a project that is geographically closer to his residence. A possibility that, for obvious logistical reasons, is not easily feasible on the island. Despite this, he has chosen to remain an integral part of the Fenix ​​family, albeit with a different role.

In two seasons at the helm of the sports area, Ventrone contributed significantly to the team's successes: the victory of the Serie C2 championship, a Discipline Cup, a qualification for the Final Four of the Coppa C2, salvation in Serie C1 and access to the Final Eight of the category. But, beyond the sporting results, he was able to embody with professionalism, style and humanity the founding values ​​of Fenix, becoming a point of reference for the company, the team and the workers.

“I would have liked to continue having Roberto as Sports Director, but I understood his needs. Even before the professional relationship, we are linked by a deep personal bond. In these two years we have shared intense moments, both remotely and in person. We immediately created a great feeling and a communion of intent with him that made this transition natural. The new project he will undertake will not be in competition with Fenix, and this confirms once again his correctness and loyalty. Roberto has brought players of absolute value to the island, but above all he has transmitted a style and human values ​​that for me, as president, come before any sporting result. He will continue to support us as a consultant, but above all he will remain a sincere friend to me, on whom I can always count. Our best wishes to him.”
