The "Run for Alessio" returns to Fognano

Fognano (Pistoia), July 20, 2025 – The "Run for Alessio" Relay Race returns again this year, Thursday, July 24, now in its fifth year. It's heartily organized by the Pro Loco Fognano and with the technical assistance of the ASD Aurora Montale and the Gruppo Podistico Croce d'Oro Montale. The meeting point is scheduled for 6:00 PM, during the "E...State al monumento" events.

A 3.9 km course for two runners, for a relay that is much more than a race: it's a gesture of memory, affection, and community. The event was created to remember Alessio Torracchi, a friend who left a profound mark on the hearts of those who knew him and who lives on through the smiles and pace of those who run for him. Last year, over 80 couples took part in this relay, which stands out not only for its sporting merit, but also for the atmosphere of togetherness and the quality of its organization, including a much-appreciated refreshment service. "Run for Alessio" is a moment of awareness and solidarity: running together also means remembering, embracing those who are no longer with us, and at the same time reviving a message of humanity.

During the evening, the official photoshoot will be handled by ETS "Give Me a Smile," which—as a concrete sign of commitment and sensitivity—will donate a defibrillator to the Pro Loco Fognano.
