Sant'Ippolito di Vernio (Prato), 21 June 2025 – As part of the traditional July Sanpotino celebrations, the 46th edition of the historic foot race that crosses the Valbisenzio , an event that is now almost half a century old, is back on stage in a fascinating evening edition: a truly traditional and unmissable event for the Prato foot race scene and a beautiful showcase for the upper Bisenzio Valley, which in this season gives its best and offers fairytale scenery and a decidedly more pleasant atmosphere than that which one breathes in the city.
The competition, with a competitive 10-kilometer route and a shorter route for walkers, took place in Sant'Ippolito di Vernio with the organization of Cesare Battisti, the patronage of the Municipality and the collaboration of Misericordia and the parish of Sant'Ippolito a Cassiano.
Here is the complete ranking

The entire community gathered in celebration in Piazza della Pieve, where the Arci club “I Partigiani” provided a warm welcome. The absolute star of the evening was the race, accompanied by an impeccable setting with aperitif, cimbellini and beer offered to participants. The event also had a strong commemorative meaning, celebrating the Memorial Stefano Cangioli, Riccardo Rovinati, Fabrizio Cangioli, Vittorio Arrighetti and Thomas Langianni, a young runner who tragically passed away on Christmas Eve due to a heart disease, while attending a competition.
The photographic service of the evening was curated with great sensitivity and professionalism by ETS Regalami un sorriso , always present to tell with images the beating heart of the race and solidarity.
