Tudor, Wydad and Juve press conference at noon: "No excuses. And City could have taken two"

"The heat is not an excuse: we have to focus on the usual things, from ball control to marking... Tiredness? I don't see it in the team, on the contrary there is enthusiasm. It's a pleasure to be all together. By winning fourth place they regained confidence in themselves. They are great professionals. Having said that, it's too early to be optimistic about the World Cup. We've only won one match. I don't think about the final or the next objectives: I focus day by day on the challenges we face. We are building the future today, step by step".

The Juventus coach then focused on the value of John Elkann's presence at Continassa - in the days leading up to his departure for the USA - and at Audi Field for the opening match against Al Ain: "A constant presence, beautiful, but above all carried out in the right way. He is particularly keen for the team to play at their best in this tournament. My boys appreciated it, interpreting his words as an additional source of motivation. Even after the match against Al Ain he came to speak to us to express his enthusiasm for the victory and the performance".

On the sidelines of the conference, Andrea Cambiaso and Manuel Locatelli also expressed their opinion on the next opponent of the Bianconeri: «Wydad is a strong team: we saw the match with City and they impressed me because they have technical and physical qualities - Cambiaso underlined -. So far, the South American teams have impressed me. They have a different intensity, they are used to these temperatures, these stadiums. Then also the fact of playing when the season has already started certainly helps them. I don't think they are going strong because they have more motivation than the Europeans: everyone wants to win this World Cup. It's the first edition, if you take home the trophy you go down in history... We have to continue playing like we did against Al Ain, go strong and play serious games».

The Italian winger then returned to City's interest in the January transfer window: "It was nice to be linked to a club like that, but I was never close to moving to Pep. I'm happy at Juve, I want to stay here."

The Juventus captain focused on Flamengo's victory over Chelsea, to celebrate his former teammate Danilo: «I'm very happy for him. He wrote to me after the match in Venice to congratulate me on the penalty and on qualifying for the Champions League. We have an excellent relationship: I love him so much, he was my captain so I can only wish him the best. He gave us so much. Do I hope he returns to Juve? Locatelli then wanted to comment on the choice of the new coach of the Italian national team, Gennaro Gattuso: «He called me, we talked a bit about when he coached me at Milan.
